September 26, 2016, City Council Meeting Minutes. 7 8 Council Member Meehlhause requested a correction on Page 8, Line 31, eliminating the word 9 “reviewed”. 10 11 Acting Mayor Mueller requested a correction on Page 2, Line 15, changing the word “members” 12 to “owners”. 13 14 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. Reports of Mayor and Council. 21 22 Council Member Meehlhause stated the Mounds View Lions Annual Spaghetti Dinner would be 23 held on Thursday, October 13th from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 6587 in Spring Lake 24 Park. Tickets for this event will be $9.50. 25 26 Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending the NSCC meeting for Mayor 27 Flaherty and three meetings over the coming weeks for NYFS. 28 29 Acting Mayor Mueller was happy to report that a number of employees at Big Top Liquor were 30 able to keep their jobs after the business was sold to a new owner. 31 32 Acting Mayor Mueller commented on the great success of the Festival in the Park Fall Craft Fair. 33 34 Acting Mayor Mueller stated she attended the Blaine-Spring Lake Park-Mounds View Fire 35 Department’s Open House at Fire Station No. 1 on Saturday, October 8th. 36 37 Acting Mayor Mueller noted she would be attending a League of Minnesota Cities meeting on 38 Monday, October 17th. 39 40 Acting Mayor Mueller explained absentee voting would begin at City Hall on Monday, October 41 24th. 42 43 Acting Mayor Mueller discussed the Candidate Forum that was held last Tuesday and 44 encouraged the public who were unable to attend this event to view it on the City’s website. 45
