RESOLUTION NO. 8665 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br />BARBARA BENESCH TECHNICIAN <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Barbara Benesch submitted her resignation for retirement and her last day <br />of employment was October 31, 2016; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 220.37 hours; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 114.09 hours; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused compensatory time is 30.63 hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Barbara Benesch’s current rate of pay is $27.73 per hour; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, the <br />maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 220.37 hours x 65% x her hourly <br />rate of $27.73 = $3,972.05 into Barbara Benesch’s RHSP; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 3.45 and 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel <br />Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 114.09 hours x <br />her hourly rate of $27.73 = $3,163.72 to her RHSP; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual the <br />maximum potential cash payout of Barbara Benesch’s accured/unused compensatory time will <br />be 30.63 x her hourly rate of $27.73 = $849.37. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br />one-time payout of sick time and vacation time not to exceed $7,135.77 into Barbara Benesch’s <br />RHSP in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br />one-time cash payout of Barbara Benesch’s compensatory time not to exceed $849.37 in <br />accordance with Sections 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 14th day of November, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal)
