ORDINANCE 929 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 405 OF THE CITY CODE TO INCREASE DECREASE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS FROM SEVEN TO NINE NINE TO SEVEN ON THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND FORESTRY COMMISSION THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Chapter 405.02, subd 1, of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to “Appointment of Members” by deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows: 405.02: MEMBERSHIP; OATH; COMPENSATION: Subd. 1. Appointment of Members: The Commission shall consist of nine (9) seven (7) appointed by the City Council and based on the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Commission, from the applications submitted. Based upon the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Commission, the City Council shall appoint a chairperson. SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance: On December 12, 2016, the City Council adopted Ordinance 929 that amends Chapter 405.02, subd. 1, of the Mounds View City Code to increase appointment of members from nine to seven members on the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission. A printed copy of the ordinance is available to view during regular business hours at Mounds View City Hall and is available on line at the City’s web site located at www.ci.mounds-view.mn.us. SECTION 3. This ordinance takes effect 30 days after its publication in the official City newspaper. INTRODUCTION AND FIRST READING by the Mounds View City Council this 28th day of November, 2016. SECOND READING AND ADOPTION by the Mounds View City Council this 12th day of December, 2016. PUBLICATION DATE: ______________
