<br />RESOLUTION NO. 8353 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR NICK DEBAR <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Nick DeBar submitted his resignation and his last day of employment <br />was December 19, 2014; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 479.68 hours; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 239.34 hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Nick DeBar’s current rate of pay is $49.17 per hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel <br />Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 479.68 hours x <br />50% x his hourly rate of $49.17 = $11,792.93 into Nick DeBar’s Retirement Health Savings <br />Plan (RHSP); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel <br />Manual, the maximum potential cash payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be <br />239.34 hours x his hourly rate of $49.17= $11,768.35. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $11,792.93 into Nick DeBar’s RHSP <br />in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves a one-time cash payout of vacation time not to exceed $11,768.35 in <br />accordance with Section 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br />Adopted this 5th day of January, 2015. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
