RESOLUTION 8384 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF TIM HILL TO SERVE ON THE SPRING LAKE PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC., BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AS THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW REPRESENTATIVE WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View receives fire protection from the Blaine - Spring Lake Park – Mounds View Fire Department, legally known as the Spring Lake Park Fire Department, Inc. (the “Department”); and, WHEREAS, the Department is managed by a seven-member Board of Directors (the “Board”) and a full time CEO/Fire Chief. The Board is comprised of three community representatives from the City of Blaine, one community representative each from Spring Lake Park and Mounds View, and two fire department representatives elected by the active membership of the Department; and, WHEREAS, terms on the Board are three-years in length, with community representatives limited to serving no more than two consecutive full three-year terms; and, WHEREAS, Tim Hill, owner of the Mounds View business CG Hill and Sons, was appointed to serve a three-year term on February 13, 2012, which has since expired; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Hill desires to be re-appointed to serve a second three-year term as allowed by the Department Bylaws; and, WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the benefit of Mr. Hill’s continuation on the Board as much work is being done to prepare for staffing changes within the Department. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby approve the re-appointment of Tim Hill, of CG Hill and Sons, doing business in Mounds View at 5150 Quincy Drive, to the Board of Directors of the Spring Lake Park Fire Department, Inc., for a second three-year term, through 2015.
