To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt 5 <br />Ordinance 897, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 603, Section 603.06, of the City Code Relating 6 <br />to Licensing Requirements for Garbage and Recycling Haulers. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Mueller was in favor of revisiting this issue. She believed that the information 9 <br />gathered would assist the City in saving money on printing costs for educational materials that 10 <br />would be provided to homeowners. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL: Gunn/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller/Flaherty. 13 <br /> 14 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 15 <br /> 16 <br />B. Resolution 8375, Approving the 2015 Public Works and Parks Seasonal 17 <br />Positions. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane discussed the process for hiring seasonal employees. She 20 <br />reviewed the hourly wage for new and returning seasonal employees. It was noted that seasonal 21 <br />employees could not work more than 119 calendar days for the City of Mounds View due to the 22 <br />new healthcare act. Staff requested the Council approve the hire of 10 seasonal employees for 23 <br />2015. 24 <br /> 25 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8375, 26 <br />Approving the 2015 Public Works and Parks Seasonal Positions. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />D. Resolution 8373, Setting a Public Hearing for February 23, 2015 for Mustang 31 <br />Drive and Mustang Circle for Pavement Rehabilitation and Drainage 32 <br />Improvements. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Acting Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council set a Public Hearing for February 35 <br />23, 2015 for the Mustang Drive and Mustang Circle Pavement Rehabilitation and Drainage 36 <br />Improvement project. Staff provided further comment on the improvements proposed for this 37 <br />project. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Mueller questioned how the Mustang Drive and Mustang Circle project cost 40 <br />compared to other street improvements projects in the City. Christina Mlejnek, Stantec, believed 41 <br />this project compared quite similarly based on the scope of the project. 42 <br /> 43 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8373 44 <br />to Set a Public Hearing for February 23, 2015 for Mustang Drive and Mustang Circle for 45
