Mounds View City Council April 13, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Gunn requested staff provide comment on how the donation from Bethlehem 2 <br />Baptist would be distributed this year. City Administrator Ericson explained that after much 3 <br />discussion, funding would be provided to the Safe Afterschool Programs for Youth, Music in the 4 <br />Park, the Annual Y Campaign, Tree Replacement Project, two Mobile Dental Clinics and for the 5 <br />Silver View Park Shelter project. He reported that all together a donation in the amount of 6 <br />$15,542.50 was being made to the City. 7 <br /> 8 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8390, 9 <br />Accepting a Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church and Authorizing the Redistribution of 10 <br />Funds. 11 <br /> 12 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 13 <br /> 14 <br />B. Resolution 8391, Accepting the Twin Cities Gateway 2015 Member City 15 <br />Marketing Grant. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Council Member Gunn noted the City would be receiving a grant from Twin Cities Gateway in 18 <br />the amount of $6,504, which could be used to market the City of Mounds View. She commented 19 <br />that these funds were greatly appreciated and would be used to promote the Festival in the Park. 20 <br /> 21 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8391, 22 <br />Accepting the Twin Cities Gateway 2015 Member City Marketing Grant. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Mueller believed that attendance at Festival in the Park has increased due to the 25 <br />advertising that was conducted each year. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked the City for allowing the Festival in the Park Committee 28 <br />to use these funds to advertise the Festival. 29 <br /> 30 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 31 <br /> 32 <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 33 <br /> 34 <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. 35 <br /> 36 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as 37 <br />presented. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 40 <br /> 41 <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 42 <br /> 43 <br />None. 44 <br /> 45
