Ord 908 Honeybee Report
August 24, 2015
Page 2

If the Council feels additional updates are necessary, those can be incorporated into the
version that would be presented for second reading and adoption, presently scheduled for
September 14, 2015.

Also to be discussed subsequent to the second reading and adoption of Ordinance 908 on
September 14th is the proposed license fee. Staff is recommending a one-time registration
and license fee of $50.

Recommendation:
Open the public hearing and consider the first reading and introduction of Ordinance 908,
an ordinance that would amend the City Code to allow for the keeping of honeybees in
backyards within certain residential districts. And changes approved by the Council would
be made prior to the second reading, presently scheduled for September 14, 2015.
Respectfully submitted,

________________________
James Ericson
City Administrator

Attachments:
1.
