10

Officer Schultes provided a safety presentation for a program called Every Day Kids at the
Mounds View Manufactured Home Park. Officer Schultes provided information and tips on
cyber safety and personal safety.

Officer Schultes speaking to the Every Day Kids group

In continuing efforts to train our officers in emergency response scenarios, some of our
officers participated in an active shooter exercise held at the Arden Hills Army Reserve
Center on May 1, 2015. The officers who participated were part of the many other
emergency responders from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department, various fire
department personnel, paramedics and other agency participants.

On May 20th, we hosted a monthly Ramsey County Chaplain meeting at the Mounds View
City Hall. This meeting brings the various chaplains who serve Ramsey County together,
along with law enforcement representatives from the suburban departments to discuss
current matters and exchange information. These monthly meetings to share information
help the chaplains and the officers better serve their communities and law enforcement
agencies.

During the meeting, the new mobile command incident vehicle from Ramsey County
Emergency Management and Homeland Security was displayed and toured by the
chaplains and city staff members (photo on following page.)
