Mounds View City Council September 14, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />(with a 55112 zip code) would be honored with a complimentary turkey dinner. Dinner would be 1 <br />$8 for all others wishing to attend. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Mayor Flaherty invited Mounds View children to participate in the Punt, Pass and Kick event at 4 <br />Edgewood Middle School this Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. He noted this was a 5 <br />free event open to the public and was being sponsored by the Mounds View Police Department. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Mueller reported the League of Minnesota Cities Local Economy Committee 8 <br />would be meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Mueller commented the League of Minnesota Cities Board of Directors would 11 <br />be holding a retreat in the City of Mankato on September 23-25, 2015. 12 <br /> 13 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Public Works Director Erickson updated the Council on the Mustang Drive project. He was 16 <br />happy to report that the final wear course had been installed. He explained that Area H required 17 <br />two major sewer repairs that required a great deal of dewatering. He discussed the length of time 18 <br />that it has taken to properly repair these sewer lines and indicated that staff was working to have 19 <br />the pavement replaced. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Flaherty encouraged staff to speak with the contractor regarding the importance of 22 <br />community relations. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Public Works Director Erickson discussed the progress being made at Groveland Park. 25 <br /> 26 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated Mayor Flaherty would be attending the Metro Mayor’s 27 <br />Meeting on Wednesday night and he would be attending the League of Women’s Voters Meeting 28 <br />in New Brighton. The topic of discussion would be garbage. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Finance Director Beer questioned if the Council was interested in continuing its membership 31 <br />with North Metro Mayors. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mayor Flaherty recommended the Council discuss this matter further at a future worksession 34 <br />meeting. 35 <br /> 36 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. 37 <br /> 38 <br />City Attorney Riggs had nothing additional to report. 39 <br /> 40 <br />12.
