His last day with Mounds View will be Monday, November 30, 2015. Staff has <br />suggested revisions to the job description, and requests the City Council consider the <br />attached revised job description along with the authority to advertise. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />In accordance with the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement (Article 19), this <br />position must be posted internally for five (5) working days so that Public Works employees <br />can be considered for such vacancies. Only after the vacancy has been posted for five (5) <br />workings, and no response is received from any Public Works employee, will the City <br />proceed in filling the vacancy externally. <br /> <br />Staff requests that advertisement for this position occur soon after the five (5) working day <br />internal posting period.
