<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8476 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING A REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION AND AUTHORIZATION TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSITION <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Steven Vacek has resigned from his position effective November 30, <br />2015; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, when job vacancies occur, it is desirable to review job descriptions to <br />ensure the requirements accurately reflect the expectations of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the Public Work Maintenance Mechanic position <br />and recommends a number of revisions to better align the description with present duties <br />as assigned; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff further requests authorization to advertise for the vacant position <br />after the five (5) day internal posting of the position is completed in accordance with the <br />current Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the revised job description and advertise for <br />the upcoming vacancy for the Public Works Maintenance Mechanic position. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 9th day of November, 2015. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(seal)
