<br /> <br />EDA Enabling Language Report <br />November 23, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Public Notice: <br /> <br />To amend the EDA enabling legislation, Minnesota Statutes require that a written notice of <br />the public hearing be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the City once a <br />week for two consecutive weeks prior to the public hearing, the first date of which not <br />occurring more than 30 days prior to the public hearing. The first date of publication was <br />November 6th, the second date of publication one week later, on November 13, 2015. <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed the original resolution and the draft resolution amending the <br />EDA enabling language at the November 9, 2015, however due to the noticing <br />requirements, the Council moved to continue the public hearing until November 23, 2015. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the City Council solicit public feedback and consider action on <br />Resolution 8467, a resolution amending and restating Resolution 4532, an enabling <br />resolution establishing the Mounds View Economic Development Authority under <br />Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.000 through 469.108. <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />1.
