Monday, February 24, 2014, City Council Agenda. <br />22 <br />23 City Administrator Ericson requested the Council entertain Senator Scalze's presence when she <br />24 arrives at the meeting. <br />25 <br />26 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. PUBLIC INPUT <br />32 <br />33 None. <br />34 <br />35 7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />36 A. Resolution 8220, Approving Settlement Agreement and Release of Claims. <br />37 <br />38 City Administrator Ericson stated in November of 2013 the City was scheduled to assess for <br />39 sanitary sewer repairs completed at Woodlawn Terrace located at 2508 County Road L The <br />40 property owner requested he be allowed to negotiate a more appropriate settlement. In order to <br />41 avoid future litigation and court fees, Mayor Flaherty, Council Member Hull, City Attorney <br />42 Riggs and City Administrator Ericson sat down with the property owner and reached a settlement <br />43 that both parties found to be mutually agreeable. The settlement amount agreed upon was <br />44 $30,000. Staff requested the Council accept the settlement agreement and release the property <br />45 owner from any additional expense for the sewer repairs. <br />
