RESOLUTION 8213 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The bidding documents prepared by Stantec for construction of the 2014 Street and <br />Utility Improvement Project — Area G, City Project No. 2013-002, are hereby <br />approved. <br />2. City staff is hereby directed to cause publication in the Sun -Focus newspaper and in <br />a regional trade publication, at least three weeks before the last day to submit bids, <br />a notice to bidders for the implementation of said project as required by law. <br />3. The time and date for receipt of public bids for said Project is hereby established as <br />10:00 a.m., local time, Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at which time bids will be <br />publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers of the Mounds View City <br />Hall. <br />4. City staff is hereby directed to proceed with all activities necessary for the <br />procurement of Municipal State Aid Funds for the eligible improvements to be <br />constructed within the Project. <br />5. Stantec is authorized to provide professional services associated with the bid phase <br />of the Project, with compensation on an hourly basis with reimbursable expenses, <br />for an estimated maximum fee amount of $6,000. <br />6. The Director of Public Works is authorized to execute and enter into a professional <br />services agreement, for and on behalf of the City, with Stantec for above said <br />services, and make approvals related to any amendments to Bidding Documents, <br />including changes in the time and date bids are due, on behalf of the City Council. <br />Adopted this 10th day of February, 2014. <br />Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
