Mounds View City Council June 23, 2014 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Mueller congratulated Assistant City Administrator Crane for being elected to 2 <br />the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Women in City Government. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Mayor Flaherty wished everyone a happy and safe 4th of July. 5 <br /> 6 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 7 <br /> 8 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated he attended a meeting on June 23rd with neighboring City 9 <br />Managers and representatives from Ramsey County. The group discussed changes being made 10 <br />by the district court related to court calendar scheduling which would improve efficiencies but 11 <br />would increase overall expenses. Further discussion ensued regarding the new court scheduling 12 <br />process. He commented he would report back to the Council with additional information at a 13 <br />future meeting. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Finance Director Beer stated the City’s Bond Counsel, Jenny Boulton of Kennedy and Graven, 16 <br />has made the City aware of a senior housing project in Minneapolis that would require conduit 17 <br />debt. He reported Mounds View would receive a 1% fee for administering the debt. He asked if 18 <br />the Council was interested in administering the debt for this project. The Council supported 19 <br />providing conduit debt for this project in the amount of $8 million. 20 <br /> 21 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. 22 <br /> 23 <br />City Attorney Riggs had nothing additional to report. 24 <br /> 25 <br />12.
