10 <br /> <br />News from the Department <br />Officer Keckeisen completed another 5th Grade class of DARE graduates from Pinewood <br />School. Nearly100 students were involved in the program! <br /> <br />Investigator Peter Berling has been assigned to coordinate the tobacco and alcohol <br />compliance checks this year. He conducted a round of each type of check at all licensed <br />businesses during the quarter which resulted in 100% compliance! <br /> <br />Edgewood Middle School held two days of a “Disaster Fair” in April. This event required <br />groups of students to work through different stations that were setup as mock scenes, such <br />as from tornado damage, and report on their assessment and response. Officer Knitter <br />assisted the school staff, along with firefighters, paramedics and other responders to guide <br />the students through this learning exercise. <br /> <br /> Edgewood School students investigating disaster scene <br /> <br />
