Mounds View City Council September 22, 2014 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br />had difficulty in widening their driveways to meet this new width. He provided further comment 1 <br />on the agreement between the homeowners and the City. He explained that letters have been sent 2 <br />to these ten homeowners explaining that they would need to reduce the width of the curb cut to 3 <br />match their driveway. He reported the expense to complete this work was estimated to be 4 <br />$2,000. Staff did not recommend the City assess for the expense of reducing the curb cut and 5 <br />requested direction from the Council on how to proceed. He reported the Council could defer 6 <br />discussing this matter to a future work session meeting. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Meehlhause recommended this matter be deferred to a worksession meeting 9 <br />where the full Council can further discuss the concern. 10 <br /> 11 <br />City Administrator Ericson reviewed the Council worksession agenda for the October 6th 12 <br />meeting. 13 <br /> 14 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. 15 <br /> 16 <br />City Attorney Riggs reviewed his monthly status report with the Council. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller requested comment from the City Attorney regarding the Charter 19 <br />Commission membership. City Attorney Riggs explained that the Charter calls for 11 members 20 <br />and that the group meet at least once yearly. He reported that a number of communities have 21 <br />seven to nine members. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Hull questioned how many members the Charter Commission currently had. 24 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated the group currently had five members with three members 25 <br />present at the recent meeting. 26 <br /> 27 <br />12.
