RESOLUTION NO. 8330 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA Adopting the 2015 Property Tax Levy WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed copies of the proposed 2015 Budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation meeting on December 1, 2014 to take comment on the proposed 2015 tax levy; and WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 2005 were issued, the debt service was scheduled to be $98,088, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View’s actual 2015 cost on said bonds will be $101,704; and WHEREAS, when the Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 were issued, the debt service was scheduled to be $52,138, however due to changes in the allocation of costs between participating cities, Mounds View’s actual 2015 cost on said bonds will be $56,635. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the following property tax levy for 2015 is hereby approved: General Fund base levy $ 3,665,826 Fire Bonds of 2005 levy 101,704 Fire Equipment Certificates of 2011 levy 56,635 PERA rate increase levy 39,145 Police Referendum market value levy 187,000 Total General Fund property tax levy $ 4,050,310 Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund levy $ 300,000 Total Property Tax Levy $ 4,350,310 and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said 2015 property tax levy.
