<br />Item No: 08J <br />Meeting Date: December 8, 2014 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />City Administrator: _____ <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: James Ericson, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8349, Approving a Wage and Step Increase for <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />City Administrator James Ericson was appointed as City Administrator on February 11, 2008. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />In 2013, the Council approved a revised pay plan subsequent to the compensation study <br />conducted by Springsted, under which Mr. Ericson would be due a step/wage increase on <br />Jan 1, 2015, to Step 5, contingent on a satisfactory performance evaluation and City Council <br />approval. <br /> <br />His supervisors, the Mounds View City Council, reviewed his performance as it relates to his <br />responsibilities outlined in the job description and in accordance with the expectations stated <br />in previous job performance evaluations at an Executive Closed Session on October 27, <br />2014. It was determined that Mr. Ericson is either meeting or exceeding stated expectations. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Review and consider the attached Resolution 8349, which authorizes a wage and step <br />adjustment for City Administrator James Ericson, consistent with the Employment Agreement <br />on file. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Desaree Crane
