Mounds View City Council October 27, 2014 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would be attending the Northeast Youth and Family 1 <br />Services Personnel Committee meeting on Wednesday to discuss health insurance options for 2 <br />employees. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Meelhause stated there would be a YMCA Advisory Board meeting on 5 <br />Monday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Center. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Flaherty explained Halloween was Friday evening. He encouraged all motorists to drive 8 <br />with great caution. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Flaherty encouraged all residents to get out and vote on November 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 11 <br />8:00 p.m. at the Community Center. It was noted absentee voting would be completed at City 12 <br />Hall during business hours. 13 <br /> 14 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Finance Director Beer stated he had written a newsletter article for the Mounds View Matters 17 <br />regarding the City’s proposed budget discussing how this would impact property taxes. 18 <br /> 19 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated new hours of operation for the Community Center were 20 <br />being proposed. He reviewed the proposed hours for the summer of 2015. 21 <br /> 22 <br />City Administrator Ericson reported the Festival in the Park Committee was looking for financial 23 <br />assistance from the City for next year’s event. He discussed the option of the Council funding 24 <br />the fireworks display. He explained that the next Just and Correct Claims would have a line item 25 <br />covering the balance of this expense. 26 <br /> 27 <br />C.
