on its own, and/or to contract with entities other than the County <br />to provide these services. This is applicable only to wireless data <br />security and persistent connectivity services and will be known as <br />"opting out" or "opt out". <br />5.4.2.2 A Member may choose to opt out of services for a subset of its <br />System Users, for example, for only Law Enforcement personnel. <br />5.4.2.3 Should a Member opt out, the ECC would remain the "first call for <br />help" for that Member's System Users per section 5.4.3.6. <br />5.4.2.4 A Member that opts out is responsible for all elements of the <br />provision and maintenance of the wireless data security and <br />persistent connectivity service except 5.4.3.6. <br />5.4.3 County Responsibilities. The County is responsible for the following Wireless <br />Data Security and Persistent Connectivity Service hardware, software, and <br />related services for Members who do not opt out of having the County <br />provide wireless data security and persistent connectivity service: <br />5.4.3.1 Acquisition of the service(s) and management of any necessary <br />contracts. <br />5.4.3.2 Working with the Members and State of Minnesota to transition <br />from existing licenses and agreements. <br />5.4.3.3 Distribution of client software (as needed) to subscribing <br />Members, and maintaining licenses and updates for that <br />software. <br />5.4.3.4 Applications that are licensed to the County as part of the <br />Wireless System. <br />5.4.3.5 Maintenance of System User accounts to ensure that System <br />Users are able to access needed services and information. <br />5.4.3.6 "First call" troubleshooting of connectivity issues. <br />5.4.3.7 Written installation standards/guidelines. <br />5.4.3.8 Initial installation of client software on end user computing <br />devices at the County's service location. <br />5.4.4 Member Responsibilities. Each Member is responsible for the following <br />Wireless Data Security and Persistent Connectivity Service hardware, <br />software, and related services: <br />5.4.4.1 Allowing the County to push software updates to end user <br />computing devices.
