<br />• Provide flood control
<br />• Collect and treat stormwater runoff
<br />• Maintain surface water quality
<br />• Operate, maintain, repair, inspect, and improve infrastructure
<br />4. MANAGE ROADWAYS, PATHWAYS, & RIGHT-OF-WAY
<br />• Operate, maintain, repair, inspect, and improve roadway pavements, curbing, sidewalks, trails,
<br />traffic signs, pavement markings, street lighting, and traffic signals
<br />• Snow and ice removal from roadways, sidewalks, and trails
<br />• Manage public and private utilities in Right -of -Way
<br />5. MANAGE VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT
<br />• Maintain and repair Public Works, Parks, Police, and staff vehicles and equipment
<br />• Manage vehicle and equipment replacement
<br />6. MANAGE PARKLAND AND PARK FACILITIES
<br />• Maintain turf (mowing, fertilizing, weed control, etc.)
<br />• Maintain athletic facilities and fields (baseball, softball, soccer, etc.)
<br />• Maintain playground equipment
<br />• Maintain park buildings and shelters
<br />• Operate, maintain, repair, inspect, and improve infrastructure
<br />7. MANAGE BUILDING FACILITIES AND GROUNDS
<br />• Clean, maintain, repair, inspect, and improve building facilities components including:
<br />¢ Exterior/Shell/Envelope
<br />Mechanical/Electrical
<br />¢ Interior & Furnishings
<br />Site/Grounds/Parking Lots
<br />8. PROVIDE ENGINEERING
<br />• Records management, design standards (specifications/details)
<br />• Project development (plan, design/engineering, bid, construct)
<br />• Contract and project administration/management
<br />• Construction inspection/administration
<br />• Computer and Information Systems
<br />9. PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION
<br />• Overall Department administrative duties, including:
<br />Budgeting activities
<br />Personnel matters
<br />¢ Regulatory reporting
<br />Public communications
<br />10. MANAGE CITY FOREST
<br />• Manage trees in Right -of -Way, Parkland, & Building Grounds
<br />• Oversee Shade Tree Ordinance (diseased trees)
