Mounds View City Council May 13, 2013 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned when the business would be open. Mr. Marrs stated the closing date 1 <br />was June 28th and would be open for business shortly thereafter. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Council Member Meehlhause inquired what a better number would be for overnight parking. 4 <br />Mr. Marrs requested 15 cars be allowed. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Flaherty was in favor of starting with allowing 10 cars for overnight parking. He 7 <br />encouraged Mr. Marrs to be in contact with the City if this became an issue. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 8:06 p.m. 10 <br /> 11 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8092, 12 <br />Consideration of a Conditional Use Permit for North Metro Motors to Operate an Auto Repair 13 <br />Business at 2975 County Road 10. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Mueller encouraged Mr. Marrs to take part in the Festival in the Park this 16 <br />August as a new business owner in the community. 17 <br /> 18 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 19 <br /> 20 <br />F. Resolution 8090, Reapproving the Coventry Senior Living Final Plat. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Planning Associate Heller stated Coventry Senior Living was requesting the Council reapprove 23 <br />their Final Plat for another six months. She indicated Coventry continues to work on their 24 <br />financing and construction plans. Staff noted the properties would be purchased and combined 25 <br />in the near future. 26 <br /> 27 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8090, 28 <br />Reapproving the Coventry Senior Living Final Plat. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Mueller looked forward to the groundbreaking for this development as it would 31 <br />be a great addition to the County Highway 10 corridor. 32 <br /> 33 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> G. Resolution 8100, Appointing a Planning Commissioner to Fill the Remaining 36 <br />Term of One Vacated Position. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that Jean Miller resigned her position from the 39 <br />Planning Commission after 30+ years of service. She explained that the opening was advertised 40 <br />and Staff received three applications. The Planning Commission reviewed these applications at 41 <br />their May 1st meeting and recommended the Council appoint Keith Cramblit or Julianne Love. 42 <br />This position would expire December 31, 2014. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Keith Cramblit addressed the Council noting he was a previous Planning Commissioner for 6 45
