Appendices <br />NAME <br />TYPE OF AID <br />DESCRIPTION <br />Legislative Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) <br />Natural Resources Trust Fund <br />Gram <br />Grants to preserve, protect, restore, and enhance both the bountiful <br />and the threatened natural resources that are the collective heritage <br />of every Minnesotan. <br />Metropolitan Council <br />Livable Communities Demonstration <br />Grant <br />Grants available for cities and municipalities to redevelop <br />Account (LCDA) <br />communities, with an emphasis on creating jobs and taxable <br />revenue as well as mixeduse/livable communities. <br />Minnesota Department of Commerce (DOC) <br />Energy Information Center <br />Technical Assistance <br />The Energy Information Center is Minnesota's leading source of <br />unbiased energy information. Call this hotline and speak to their <br />experts on any energy-related issues or projects. <br />Public Buildings Enhanced Energy <br />Loan <br />The Public Building Enhanced Energy Efficiency Program <br />Efficiency Program <br />(PBEEEP) is under development and will facilitate energy <br />improvements for local governments including school districts <br />by delivering expert technical services and easy-to-use private <br />financing. Private capital, not State funds, will be offered at interest <br />rates comparable to rates on tax-exempt general obligation bonds. <br />Will feature State "supplemental cash Row agreements" to balance <br />local governments' actual energy savings and payments due so that <br />investments are at least budget -neutral. <br />Solar Rebates <br />Rebate <br />Rebates for both solar electric and solar thermal installations. At <br />present, this program is fully subscribed and additional funding has <br />not been made available. <br />Additional Renewable Energy Funding <br />Grants & Rebates <br />Funding for a variety of energy efficiency and renewable energy <br />projects as money is appropriated. <br />Conservation Improvement Program (CIP) <br />Rebates and <br />State mandated utility conservation program. Each utility provides <br />Technical Assistance <br />funding and assistance for building energy improvements and <br />enhancements. Department of Commence reviews each utility's <br />program. <br />Low -Income Weatherization Program <br />Direct Service <br />Federal Program administered for Minnesota by the Department of <br />Commerce. Weatherizes low-income residences. <br />Minnesota Department of Commerce (DOC) & Administration <br />B3 - Sustainable Design Guidelines <br />Technical Assistance <br />Guide for new construction/major remodeling (mandated for state <br />bond -funded projects). <br />B3 - Building Benchmarking and Beyond <br />Technical Assistance <br />Energy benchmarking for Minnesota public (state, municipal, and <br />school) buildings. <br />20 Minnesota GreenStep Cities Program Proposal <br />
