Resolution 7917, Approving a Three-Year Labor Agreement with LELS 232 4 <br />Effective from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013. 5 <br /> 6 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated the labor agreement with LELS 232, the Police Sergeants, 7 <br />expired at the end of 2010. Throughout 2011, the City has been working with the union through 8 <br />negotiations and met with the Council in closed session to discuss terms. After reaching a 9 <br />tentative agreement, insurance information was reviewed and agreed upon by the group. Staff 10 <br />reviewed the items changing in the new three year contract and recommended approval. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Mueller thanked City Administrator Ericson for negotiating this contract with 13 <br />the labor union. She requested a minor change to Step 3A in the agreement. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. Resolution 7918, Approving a Three-Year Labor Agreement with LELS 204 22 <br />Effective from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013. 23 <br /> 24 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated the labor agreement with LELS 204, the Police Officers and 25 <br />Investigators, expired at the end of 2010. Throughout 2011, the City has been working with the 26 <br />union through negotiations and met with the Council in closed session to discuss terms. After 27 <br />reaching a tentative agreement, insurance information was reviewed and agreed upon by the 28 <br />group. Staff reviewed the few changes in the new three year contract and recommended 29 <br />approval. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Council Member Mueller requested further information on longevity pay as stated within the 32 <br />contract. City Administrator Ericson explained an employee received additional steps to the pay 33 <br />scale through this system. He noted this was common throughout the policing pay scales. 34 <br /> 35 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn.
