Reports of Mayor and Council. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Mueller reported Nick Erickson and K-9 Officer Niko began regular patrol 7 <br />duties last Monday. She noted they were successful in assisting with a missing vulnerable adult. 8 <br />She thanked both officers for their assistance in the community. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Mueller explained the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting on 11 <br />Tuesday, June 12th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the conference room. She encouraged all those 12 <br />interested in volunteering to attend. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Mueller stated next weekend was the League of Minnesota Cities Conference 15 <br />which would be held in Duluth, Minnesota. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned the need for volunteers for this year’s Festival in the Park. Assistant 18 <br />City Administrator Crane stated there was a desperate need for volunteers. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Flaherty recommended the faith based community be contacted for volunteers. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Gunn commented Ziggy Norberg, an Irondale Student, who went to Poland has 23 <br />been nominated as a delegate for the State of Minnesota Convention. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Flaherty reported Irondale High School had their graduation last Tuesday. He encouraged 26 <br />the public to drive safely and be aware that all students were now out of school. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Flaherty noted the first Concert in the Park would be held on Thursday, June 21st at 6:30 29 <br />p.m. and would feature the North Suburban Concert Band. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 32 <br /> 33 <br />1. Business License/Dog License Module (Permit Works) 34 <br /> 35 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane noted the City has a database program called Permit Works. 36 <br />This program assists with tracking permits for Staff. However, Staff needed greater efficiencies 37 <br />when dealing with dog licenses and liquor licenses. Additional modules can be purchased for the 38 <br />Permit Works program to assist with gathering, sharing and centralizing this information. She 39 <br />explained the item was budgeted and requested the Council discuss the item and provide 40 <br />feedback to Staff. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Council Member Mueller recommended Staff bring this item back for approval on the Council’s 43 <br />next Consent Agenda. 44 <br /> 45
