<br />PUBLIC MEETING ATTENDANCE RECORDS AND NOTICES <br />Ramsey County Multijurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan | July 2012 B-23 <br />Mr. Mellors requested that the contact information for Ramsey County Emergency Management <br />be updated with his information. <br />HAZARD MITIGATION PLANNING PROCESS <br />The first phase of the plan update involved initiating the planning project and organizing <br />resources. A kickoff meeting with the Hazard Mitigation Steering Committee was conducted and <br />data collection began at that time. <br />SAIC identified hazards and gathered preliminary risk assessment results. This included <br />developing a base list of hazards, gathering information about those hazards, and conducting a <br />risk assessment. <br />Additionally, SAIC drafted a findings report based on a risk assessment and consequence <br />analysis. <br />SAIC developed mitigation strategies and a draft HMP, which was reviewed at a second public <br />meeting and updated based on input from this meeting. <br />The HMP was then submitted to HSEM, who approved the HMP and then submitted it to <br />FEMA. FEMA has conditionally approved the HMP on the basis that it must still be approved by <br />all participating jurisdictions and the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners. <br />Public meeting #3 was an opportunity for members of the community to learn about the HMP <br />and its contents. <br />CALENDAR OF EVENTS <br /> Letter requesting support for the plan to all interested parties October 2011 <br /> Kickoff meeting and public meeting of mitigation process November 10, 2011 <br /> First draft HMP written January 4, 2012 <br /> Public meeting #2 for review of draft updated HMP January 10, 2012 <br /> Final mitigation strategy February 9, 2012 <br /> Draft updated HMP with changes <br />required from public meeting for submittal to HSEM <br />and FEMA for official review February 24, 2012 <br /> HSEM review period February 24– May 9, 2012 <br /> FEMA review period May 9–June 18, 2012 <br /> Final draft updated plan based on HSEM and <br />FEMA recommendations July 10, 2012 <br /> Public meeting #3 for review of final updated HMP July 11, 2012 <br /> Completed HMP September 18, 2012 <br />COMMUNITY PROFILE <br />Ms. Habib reviewed the community profile.
