<br />Section 4 <br />4-4 Ramsey County Multijurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan | July 2012 <br /> Vulnerability: The vulnerability of each hazard will be summarized based on a common set of <br />definitions and classifications used to estimate vulnerability and rank hazards. <br />Hazard Identifications/Classifications <br /> <br /> Multijurisdictional Concern: This component of <br />the plan will identify what areas of Ramsey <br />County are most susceptible to effects of the <br />hazard. <br /> Land Use Plans and Development Trends: This <br />component of the plan will identify land use <br />trends, the County’s land use and development <br />plans, and reference current plans and regulations <br />are in place in Ramsey County regarding land use <br />plans and trends that could prevent the impact of <br />the disaster. <br />44 CFR Requirement 201.6 (c)(2)(ii)(C) <br />Providing a general description of land uses <br />and development trends within the community <br />so that mitigation options can be considered in <br />future land use decisions. <br />Frequency of Occurrence: Probability <br />1 = Unlikely <1% probability of occurrence in the next 100 years <br />2 = Occasionally 1-10% probability of occurrence per year, or at least one change in next 100 years <br />3 = Likely >10% but <100% probability per year, at least one chance in next 10 years <br />4 = Highly Likely 100% probable in a year <br /> <br />Warning Time: Amount of time generally given to alert people to hazard <br />1 = More than 12 hours <br />2 = 6-12 hours <br />3 = 3-6 hours <br />4 = None – Minimal <br /> <br />Geographic Extent: How large an area would likely be affected <br />1 = Localized <br />2 = Community-wide <br />3= County-wide <br /> <br />Potential Impact: Severity and extent of damage and disruption <br />1 = Negligible Isolated occurrences of minor property damage, minor disruption of critical <br />facilities and infrastructure, and potential for minor injuries <br />2 = Minor Isolated occurrences of moderate to severe property damage, brief disruption of <br />critical facilities and infrastructure, and potential for injuries <br />3 = Moderate Severe property damage on a neighborhood scale; temporary shutdown of critical <br />facilities, and/or injuries or fatalities <br />4 = Major Severe property damage on a neighborhood scale; temporary shutdown of critical <br />facilities, and/or injuries or fatalities <br />44 CFR Requirement 201.6 (c)(2)(iii) <br />For multijurisdictional plans, the risk <br />assessment section must assess each <br />jurisdiction’s risks where they vary from the <br />risks facing the entire planning area. <br />
