RESOLUTION NO. 7977 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Resolution Authorizing Certification of the Preliminary General Fund Budget and <br />Property Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2013 <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, current state statute requires cities to certify a preliminary budget and <br />tax levy to the county auditor; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, guidelines established by the Commissioner of Revenue require <br />certification to occur on or before September 15, 2012; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue has certified the amount of Local <br />Government Aid payable to the City in 2013; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has elected to have no preliminary levy increase. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View that the preliminary budget for the General Fund for fiscal year 2013 is $5,666,556. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed 2013 base property tax levy is <br />$3,625,809 (General Fund $3,325,809 and Street Improvement Fund $300,000) and the <br />proposed 2013 special levies are $555,572 for a total net property tax levy of $4,181,381. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director shall certify these amounts <br />to the Ramsey County Auditor. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 27th Day of August 2012. <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL)
