RESOLUTION 7810 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE TRADE–IN PROGRAM FOR SKID STEER UNITS #130 AND #136 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has participated over the past 12 twelve years in the yearly trade <br />program offered by Tri-State Bob Cat, Inc., and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the cost savings of over $50,000.00 for this <br />program compared to purchasing two new units at a cost of $58,959.16, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approves and places in the operating budget the cost for <br />this program. and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City received a quote for new skid steer units on the trade-in program <br />to replace the current skid steers, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tri-State Bob Cat, Inc 3101 Spruce St. Little Canada Minnesota provided <br />a quote in the amount of $8,329.56; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, monies are available in the Street Department fund, 100-4470-4010 and <br />the Water Operating fund, 700-4820-4010 for skid steer upgrades; and, <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City to continue with the trade-in program <br />through Tri-State for new skid steer units as a cost savings to the City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. This trade-in program with Tri-State Bobcat Inc. is recognized through the <br />Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV), a members-only program that enables <br />participating governmental units, such as Mounds View, to purchase goods and <br />services under competitive contract terms established by the State of Minnesota. <br />2. City Council approves the trade-in program purchase for 2 skid steers in the total <br />amount of $8,329.56 from Tri-State Bobcat, Inc. to be funded from 100-4470-4010 <br />in the amount of $3,800.00 and 700-4823-4010 in the amount of $4,529.56. <br />Adopted this 11th day of July, 2011. <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(SEAL)
