Reports of Mayor and Council. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council Member Gunn noted she attended a celebration at Moe’s this past weekend and GB 26 <br />Leighton was playing. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated Western Bank was having a customer appreciation picnic on Thursday, 29 <br />July 14th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. He encouraged all to attend. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Flaherty reviewed the most recent foreclosure data with the Council stating the trend 32 <br />looked positive as more homes were remaining occupied. He knew this was a slow process, but 33 <br />was pleased to see the foreclosures slowing in the City of Mounds View. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Mayor Flaherty indicated the recent census information shows that Mounds View has 12,155 36 <br />residents and 4,954 households. Each households has an average of 2.54 persons. 37 <br /> 38 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 39 <br /> 40 <br />City Administrator Ericson commented the City received $26,000 in funding to assist the City 41 <br />with two recycling/cleanup events, while also providing postage for the Mounds View Matters. 42 <br />He indicated the City held a spring clean up on May 7th and had a very high turnout at the event, 43 <br />accepting electronics items for the first time.
