Mounds View City Council July 11, 2011 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />11. REPORTS 2 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Mayor Flaherty indicated the Five Cities Mayor meeting was held this afternoon at the New 5 <br />Brighton City Hall. The main topic of interest was cost sharing activities. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Mueller stated the City of New Brighton would be holding a public hearing on 8 <br />July 19th at 7:00 p.m. for an organization that was the looking to purchase the building on Old 9 <br />Highway 8 and Highway 96. The proposed use would be transitional housing for newly released 10 <br />inmates. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Flaherty read an email from Louise Fester directed to Public Works Director Nick DeBar 13 <br />regarding a sink hole on Brighton Lane. Ms. Fester thanked the City for their prompt attention to 14 <br />the concern. 15 <br /> 16 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 17 <br /> 18 <br />City Administrator Ericson commented on the Three City Meeting he recently attended stating a 19 <br />task force was going to be created to look at the naming of County Highway 10 as this roadway 20 <br />flows through the three communities (Blaine, Spring Lake Park and Mounds View). 21 <br /> 22 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated that transits routes may be affected through the State 23 <br />government shut down. He stated the City should expect service reductions for the coming 24 <br />weeks until the State reaches an agreement on the budget. 25 <br /> 26 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. 27 <br /> 28 <br />City Attorney Riggs had nothing additional to report. 29 <br /> 30 <br />12. Next Council Work Session: Monday, August 1, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. 31 <br />Next Council Meeting: Monday, July 25, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. 32 <br /> 33 <br />13.
