Reports of Mayor and Council. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mayor Flaherty indicated the City had 30 parties registered for National Night Out. He thanked 27 <br />all for participating in the great event and for getting to know your neighbors. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated Festival in the Park would be held on August 20th. The parade would 30 <br />begin at 10:00 a.m. Entertainment would be provided at the event by Jonah and the Whales. He 31 <br />encouraged all to attend. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Gunn stated she rode with the Police Chief on National Night Out. She had a 34 <br />great time meeting with the residents and to hear their concerns. 35 <br /> 36 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 37 <br /> 38 <br />1. Finance Quarterly Report 39 <br /> 40 <br />Finance Director Beer reviewed the second quarter report with the Council. The summary 41 <br />revenue and expense statements were discussed. He felt an economic recovery has not been seen 42 <br />by the City which left revenues lagging slightly behind budgeted amounts. He stated revenues 43 <br />would increase at the Community Center July through September with increased rentals for 44 <br />weddings. 45
