X
Explanation/Summary(attach supplement sheets as necessary)
Summary:
At the June 3, 1996 work session, staff informed Council of the expense and related long term maintenance
issues related to construction of the pedestrian bridge within the surface water pond adjacent to the
Bridgeman's building. The additional expense of reconstructing the pond is estimated to be at least$40.000,
The estimated cost to relocate the pond to City property are approximately $10,000 to 32,500.
Staff has received two quotes for engineering services to move the pond and proceed through the permitting •
process. The quotes accompany this report and the expenses are as follows:
• BRW $7,620.00
SEH $6,900.00
- Both of these quotes cover the same scope of project. Neither proposal includes design and construction
services, these would be additional, as would the construction of the pond and related work.
Staff recommends Council award the engineering study to SEH for the amount of$6,900 to relocate the
surface water pond to City property, in conjunction with the pedestrian bridge project.
