VIVA <br /> Friday, February 7, 190-)i <br /> • <br /> Dear Mayor and City Council members, <br /> I am a fourth grade teacher at Pinewood Elementary. <br /> We were learning about paragraphs and topic <br /> sentences in Language this week, and the next <br /> assignment was to write a persuasive paragraph. <br /> The topic we chose was the Goosebumps Books <br /> controversy in the Anoka-Hennepin School District. <br /> The students could write a paragraph stating their <br /> views for either side of the issue. They did a <br /> remarkable job. The next day we received <br /> information about the upcoming discussion of the <br /> Highway 10 bridge. I read the information to the <br /> class, and they thought it would be interesting and <br /> helpful for the City Council to have a perspective <br /> from the student point of view for the upcoming. <br /> discussion. So here it is--valuable opinions from <br /> young members of the community who have input <br /> and strong feelings about this issue. <br /> Thank you for taking the time to hear them. <br /> Marty Wall <br /> • <br />
