They are developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce) <br /> Retail - 1.4 <br /> Manufacturing- 1.8 <br /> Restaurants- 1.3 <br /> Business Services- 1.5 <br /> Hotel/Entertainment- 1.8 <br /> Therefore, every new retail job created supports the creation of under half a job created <br /> elsewhere and every new manufacturing job created supports the creation of three quarters <br /> of a job created elsewhere. <br /> III Mounds View's Situation <br /> A. Current Economic Base <br /> Business Parks <br /> • Mounds View Business Park on Highway 10 <br /> • Mounds View Industrial Park on Old Highway 8 <br /> • Bridges Technology Center on Coral Sea Street. <br /> (Currently almost fully developed - only three-four parcels left for development) <br /> Commercial Corridor Properties: Scattered commercial businesses, two retail centers, vacant <br /> land, single family homes and multifamily homes. Many of these uses are in need of rehabilitation. <br /> Scattered Neighborhood Businesses;Examples: Tom Thumb, Fedors <br /> Sixteen percent of Mounds View's market value comes from commercial uses which generates <br /> thirty eight percent of the total tax capacity.
