14.2 Employees notified by the employer to be on court standby status will be compensated a <br /> total of two hours based upon the employee's normal hourly rate fore each day the <br /> employee is to standby for court duty but is not called into court. In consideration for the <br /> daily compensation,the employee shall be available to appear in the appropriate court, in <br /> uniform,to testify with minimum delay when telephonically notified by the employer. <br /> Any employee on court standby duty who cannot be notified by telephone of the need for <br /> a court appearance will not be compensated for that day. / <br /> 14.3 The two hours compensation for court standby duty will not be given if the employer has <br /> notified or attempted to notify the employee of a cancellation of the status no later than <br /> 1700 hours on the day preceding the court date. Unless notified to the contrary, standby <br /> status shall continue for a maximum two consecutive days at which time the employee <br /> shall contact the employer by the day following initiation of standby status, who will <br /> continue or cancel standby status, as required. Court standby pay will not be granted on a <br /> day when the employee is compensated for a court appearance. <br /> ARTICLE 16 - WORKING OUT OF CLASSIFICATION <br /> Employees assigned by the EMPLOYER to assume the full responsibilities and authority of a <br /> higher job classification shall receive the salary schedule for the higher classification for the <br /> duration of the assignment. <br /> ARTICLE 17 - INSURANCE • <br /> 17.1 The EMPLOYER will contribute up to a maximum of three hundred thirty($330)per <br /> month per employee for employee and dependent group health and life insurance for <br /> calendar year 1996 and maximum of three hundred thirty ($330)per month per employee <br /> for employee and dependent group health and life insurance for calendar year 1997. <br /> 17.2 Additional insurance: The employee may designate a portion of the $330 maximum <br /> provided in 1996 and $330 of the maximum provided in 1997 in Article 17.1 to provide <br /> dental coverage through the City's group dental plan and/or to provide supplemental life <br /> insurance through City offered plans. <br /> ARTICLE 18 - STANDBY PAY <br /> Employees required by the EMPLOYER to standby shall be compensated for such standby time <br /> at the rate of 1 hour compensatory time off for each hour on standby. <br /> ARTICLE 19 - OFF DUTY CALL PAY <br /> Employees classified or assigned by the Employer as Investigator will receive one hour of <br /> compensatory time off for every off-duty call received between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 <br /> • <br /> a.m. <br /> City of Mounds View LELS Contract 12 <br />
