• The intersection will operate at LOS C, with an average intersection delay of 15.2 seconds. The northbound
movements will experience overall LOS D with only a 28.1 second approach delay.
• When possible it is good policy to align driveways to prevent dog-leg turning movements.
• All turning movements at Driveway D, an unsignalized intersection, will operate at LOS A. At 170 feet south
of the Highway 10 curb return, adequate stacking distance is provided to prevent southbound vehicles at
Driveway D from backing up to Highway 10.
• The distance between Driveway D and Driveway E is 100 feet. It is likely that northbound drivers will leave
Driveway D open and stack between Driveways D and E. Combined, the available space for stacking is 270
feet.
• Driveway E provides access to an internal loop street, which serves the corner gas station use and others.
If Driveway D is blocked by queued, northbound vehicles, Driveway E will be available for ingress and
egress.
•
-17-
