He requested that Items 8(B)and 8(C)be removed from the Consent Agenda. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Koopmeiners to approve the Consent Agenda,AS AMENDED. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Mayor McCarty explained that Items 8(B&C)were amendments to the Fire Protection Services Contract and <br /> 40 approving a Letter of Understanding regarding the Joint Powers Agreement. He wondered if action is actually <br /> 41 needed by the City Council on this issue. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Mr.Nyle Zikmund,Fire Chief,explained that this decision could be made by the Council,however he felt the <br /> 44 Council may want to approve the amendments it would bring the assets into the city's possession at the pro rata <br /> 45 share. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Mayor McCarty stated he is somewhat concerned about bringing MAC into the Fire Services Contracts in a <br /> 48 more direct way than they have been in the past. He would be willing to set the items before the Council aside <br />
