DWELLING, MOBILE HOME: A detached residential dwelling unit designed for <br /> transportation after fabrication on streets or highways on its own wheels or on flatbed or <br /> other trailers and arriving at the site where it is to be occupied as a dwelling complete and <br /> ready for occupancy, except for minor and incidental unpacking and assembly operations, <br /> location on jacks or other temporary or permanent foundations, connections to utilities and <br /> the like. A travel trailer is not to be considered as a mobile home. <br /> Subd. 36. DWELLING. MULTIPLE: A building designed with three (3) or more dwelling <br /> units exclusively for occupancy by three (3) or more families living independently of each <br /> other. <br /> OMMIIMa <br /> Subd. 37. DWELLING, SEMI-DETACHED: A dwelling which is joined to another dwelling <br /> at one side only by a party wall. <br /> Subd. 38. DWELLING, SINGLE-FAMILY: A detached dwelling unit designed exclusively for <br /> occupancy by one family. <br /> Subd. 39. DWELLING, TWO-FAMILY: A dwelling designed exclusively for occupancy by <br /> two..( ) families living independently of o er, so own as ouble bungalow, <br /> duplex, side-by-side two-family dwellings. <br /> • Subd. 40. DWELLING UNIT: Residential accommodation, including complete kitchen <br /> facilities, permanently installed, which are arranged, designed, used or intended for use E. <br /> exclusively as living quarters for one family and not more than an aggregate of two (2) <br /> roomers or boarders. Where a private garage is structurally attached, it shall be <br /> considered as a part of the building in which the dwelling unit is located. <br /> Subd. 41. EFFICIENCY APARTMENT: A dwelling unit consisting of one principal room <br /> exclusive of bathroom, hallway, closets or dining alcove. <br /> Subd. 42. ESSENTIAL SERVICES: The erection, construction, alteration or maintenance of <br /> underground or aboveground gas, electrical, steam or water transmission or distribution <br /> systems, collection, communication, supply or disposal systems by public utilities, <br /> Municipal or other governmental agencies but not including buildings. <br /> Subd. 43. FAMILY: One or more persons, each related to the other by blood, marriage or <br /> adoption, or a group of not more than four. (4) persons not all so related, together with <br /> their domestic servants or gratuitous guests, maintaining a common household and using <br /> common cooking and kitchen facilities. <br /> Subd. 44. FLOOR AREA (For the purpose of determining off-street parking and off-street <br /> loading requirements): The sum of the gross horizontal floor area of the various floors <br /> of a building measured in square feet and from inside walls, with the area devoted <br /> • primarily to storage, aisles, fitting rooms, off-street parking and/or loading not included. <br /> (1988 Code §40.02) <br /> City of Mounds View <br />
