; NI r, rivE <br /> ti <br /> Page 8 130 <br /> 410 <br /> August 11, 1997 <br /> Mounds View City Council <br /> 1 Council member Stigney stated he would like input from residents as well as to how the city could improve <br /> 2 communication. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 REPORTS: <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Report of Council members: <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Trude: Council member Trude noted that she voted against the agenda issue pertaining to an Exclusive <br /> 9 Negotiations Agreement with Anthony Properties as she feels the Community Center will demand much <br /> 10 parking and she does not want to take away from areas that could be used for parking if needed. In regard to <br /> 11 the Silver Lake Commons project,she also stated she has heard from many residents who are concerned about <br /> 12 adding more multi-family housing on Highway 10. Mounds View needs strong families and strong <br /> 13 commitments in order to make it a better place to live and she has concerns that with the rising number of <br /> 14 rental units,the city will not maintain a high enough stable portion of the population to keep Mounds View a <br /> 15 good place to raise a family. She encouraged residents to provide input on the Silver Lake Commons project <br /> 16 prior to the August 25th Council meeting or to be present at the meeting. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Stigney: Council member Stigney noted that St Paul has a three-strike program whereby residents are <br /> 19 individually charged if they have more than three police calls to the residence. He asked if staff could arrange <br /> 20 to get a copy of the program.
