Moon <br /> Memberships, Accomplishments, or other; <br /> • <br /> Member Mounds View 2000 Housing Committee <br /> Received Mounds View Resident Appreciation Award, Nov. 1992 <br /> for suggesting savings on city printing costs <br /> Involved with the Hwy 10/U of M redevelopment hearings _ <br /> I successfully helped stopped the overdevelopment of a piece of property in my neighborhood <br /> (the New Apostolic Church project) <br /> Have proposed and changes made to City code on PUC's in residential areas of Mounds View. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on the EDC <br /> I feel Hwy 10 has to be the starting point of general redevelopment of the City of Mounds View. <br /> After Hwy 10, the housing stock should and needs to be addressed from many angles. I know my <br /> neighborhood is not the only one that needs help, but I have successfully reduced the assessed <br /> value of my home two years in a row by just sending in pictures of my neighborhood. All this knowing <br /> that if my home were located just 6 blocks south the value would be approx. 30% higher. <br /> • Our neighbors to the south, New Brighton, is considered a desirable place to live, Mounds <br /> View is not, I would like to helped change that perception. <br /> Thank-you for considering this application to the Economic Development Commission <br /> Canny C.
