HUU-17-177 r lab• ( U 1 i I Ur bLH 1 Nt b1G !bJ b1Jo r.LIG/CIG <br /> • CITY OF BLAINE <br /> RESOLUTION NO.97-170 <br /> APPOINTING THE SPRING LAKE PARK)FRE <br /> DEPARTMENT,INC.BOARD OF DIRECTORS AS THE <br /> FIRE CODE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> WHEREAS,the Uniform Fire Code, Section 103.1.4, requires that a Fire Code Board of <br /> Appeals be created by the City Council and hold office at their pleasure;and <br /> WHEREAS,the best interests of the City and its citizens are served by having a Fire Code <br /> Board of Appeals which is experienced in and knowledgable of fire operations and related building <br /> materials and standards,and <br /> WHEREAS,the Spring Lake Park Fire Department,Inc. Board of Directors consists of <br /> knowledgable people who could capably serve as the Fire Code Board of Appeals, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine that the <br /> Fire Code Board of Appeals: <br /> 1. Shall consist of five members of the Spring Lake Park Fire Department,Inc.Board <br /> of Directors who are qualified by experience and training to pass judgment upon <br /> pertinent matters; <br /> 2. Shall determine the suitability of alternate materials and types of construction and <br /> provide for reasonable interpretations of the provisions of the Fire Code; and <br /> 3.
