MOUNDS VIEW PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> • MEETING MINUTES <br /> Thursday, July 17, 1997 <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Parks and Recreation Commissioners met at Greenfield Park before the meeting to observe <br /> the complaints of foul balls hit during baseball games and practices. <br /> CALL TO <br /> ORDER: Chair Burmeister called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL: All Commissioners were present including Burmeister, Silvis, Long, <br /> Stevenson, Starr, Gunn and Dentin Staff present included Director Saarion <br /> and Community Development Director Sheldon. Mr. Mike Black was also <br /> present to introduce the D.W. Jones Development proposal. <br /> MINUTES: Commissioner Gunn made a motion seconded by Commissioner Silvis <br /> it approve the minutes of June 26, 1997. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> DW JONES <br /> • DEV.: Community Development Director Sheldon introduced Mr. Black who is <br /> proposing a development at the DW Jones property. The project was <br /> reviewed. Mr. Black was looking for Park Dedication preferences and <br /> recommendations/credits for a sidewalk Commissioners had many <br /> questions and wanted further information regarding: <br /> 1. The possibility of using the St. Paul Waterway Easement for a sidewalk <br /> from the existing Sr.Housing Building to the development. <br /> 2. The timeline of Silver Lake Road Redevelopment from Cty H-Hwy 10. <br /> 3. The timeline of Red Oak Dr. road improvements to determine whether <br /> or not the likelihood of a connecting trailway system would be in the near <br /> future. <br /> 4. Estimate of the cost of the sidewalk along Silver Lake Road. <br /> 5. The amount of Park Dedication fees estimated for the development. <br /> When asked when this issue would be further discussed, the <br /> Commissioners agreed that if need be they could meet with the Planning <br /> Commission when this issue is discussed. The Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission will discuss this issue at their next meeting August 28, 1997. <br /> Staff will pursue answers to the questions stated above. <br /> GREENFIELD <br /> al PARK: As discussed earlier at Greenfield Park, there has been problems with foul <br /> balls damaging cars in the parking lot as well as homes that are located <br />
