Consideration of-Resolution No.5153,Certifying the 1998 Proposed Operating Budget and <br /> 4 Property Tax Levy for the City's General Fund and Setting the dates and times for public hearings on <br /> 5 said budget and levy. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Mayor McCarty asked that one change be made to Resolution 5153,under Paragraph 3,(1)Pursuant to State <br /> 8 Statutes,the 1998 Preliminary General Fund Budget including the debt service on the outstanding tire bonds <br /> 9 totaling$3,700,399 is hereby proposed. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Koopmeiners to Approve Resolution No.5153,Certifying the 1998 Proposed <br /> 12 Operating Budget and Property Tax Levy for the City's General Fund and Setting the slur.-4 and times for <br /> 13 public hearings on said budget and levy AS AMENDED. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 VOTE: 4 ayes U nays Motion Carried <br /> 16 <br /> 17 D. Consider Motion Authorizing the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into an employment <br /> 18 contract for Management Services at the Bridges with the current golf course superintendent <br /> 19 <br /> 20 MOTION/SECOND: Koopmeiners/Quick to Approve Resolution No.5156,Approving an Employment <br /> 21 Agreement for the Golf Course Superintendent and Establishing Incentive Pay for Golf Course Personnel. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Mayor McCarty stated he has a concern on Article 3. He stated he would feel more comfortable if items that <br /> 24 were verbalized were added into the contract. He asked that the first paragraph be changed to read as <br /> 25 follows: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 "The City and Hiunmerschmidt agree to cooperate in effectively operating and maintaining The Bridges and <br /> • 28 other city facilities and equipment. Whenever possible,golf course employees and other city employees will <br /> 29 assist each other with no billing to the other department or program provided that the overall time spent by <br /> 30 golf course employees at other city facilities during a year is approximately equal to time other city employees <br /> 31 spend assisting the golf course. Accurate lime and material records will be kept by lianunerschinidt for <br /> 32 services rendered by golf course personnel performing reciprocal work with other city departments." <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Council members Koopmeiners and Quick accepted this us a friendly amendment. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 37 <br /> 38 E. First Reading of Ordinance No.603,an Ordinance Amending Section 1005.12 of the Mounds View <br /> 39 Municipal Code Entitled"Housing Code". <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Ms.Jennifer Bergman,Housing Inspector,explained that this change will simply clarify the Housing Code so <br /> 42 that only renter-occupied units in buildings with two or more units would need to be inspected and registered. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Koopmeiners to approve the First Reading of Ordinance No.603,an Ordinance <br /> 45 Amending Section 1005.12 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Entitled"Housing Code"and to waive the <br /> 46 reading <br /> 47 • <br /> 48 ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Koopmeiners aye <br /> 51 Stigney aye <br /> 52 Quick aye <br /> 53 McCarty aye <br /> 54 <br /> • <br />
