evaluation packet was sent out, but I may not have sent out a complete copy, and hence, none were
returned. The Council can discuss how or if it would like to
proceed with this. I think it is a good process to go through and while I have appreciated the positive
comments generally passed my way, I think Council and myself could use further understanding in
roles and direction setting. Perhaps some discussion regarding this would help.
Item 28-Coalition for Healthy Youth: Communities around us have been active in this program
as it develops more so than anything I am aware of in Mounds View. The Mayor attended the
meeting last week and may be able to brief the Council on the work taking place. While certainly a
good effort, I have not gotten involved nor has staff simply due to time and priorities, but if the
Council so chooses, we can become more active.
Well that is enough for now. I don't mean to pile on the work, but sometimes this seems to happen.
Rick Jopke starts on Monday so we should be back in the community development business full time,
accept for housing. Council may also notice sometime in the next couple of weeks that we have
moved all our offices around as we try to adjust to having no receptionist. Have a good weekend and
see you Monday at 5 p.m., one hour earlier than normal, for the budget discussion.
111
•
