Staff was <br /> however unable to carry out the abatement as thero e <br /> grant access to theproperty. Numerous violations were observed and documented with a camera, In the course of the <br /> inspection, large accumulations of debris and junk inside the house were observed through <br /> windows. The extent of this accumulation prompted staff to apply for a second administrative <br /> search warrant to gain access to the interior of the home and any outbuildings. This search <br /> warrant was issued on September 24, 1997 and executed October 1, 1997. <br /> On October 15, 1997, a comprehensive listing of the observed nuisance code, building code and <br /> fire code violations was sent to Mrs. Lodmill. In addition, the letter indicated that the City <br /> Council on October 27, 1997 would be discussing a resolution authorizing abatement of her <br /> property. The resolution, which was drafted by the City Attorney, is worded in such a way so as <br /> to reference Minnesota Statutes. The City Attorney has also drafted a court order to be filed in <br /> the event Mrs. Lodmill refuses to cooperate in the abatement process. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approve Resolution No. 5172, a resolution authorizing the abatement of public nuisances r <br /> at 2349 Laport Drive. present <br /> /.4.?„,,,k.j._.
