MANAGEMENT MEETING MINUTES <br /> Wednesday,November 26, 1997 @ 10:00 AM <br /> L Call to Order <br /> Meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. Present: Whiting, Kessel, Ulrich, Hammerschmidt, <br /> Zikmund, Ramacher, Jopke, Saarion, Sanchez. Absent: Bennett <br /> IL Department Reports - Saarion reported that Don Irving, one of two cable technicians <br /> accepted a new position and has left city employment. It was decided that Pat Toth should spend <br /> time programming and work the meetings. The requirement would be that Pat's hours would be <br /> increased as necessary. Jopke reported that Steve Dorgan accepted the Housing Inspector <br /> position subject to council approval. Kessel reported that the finance department will have <br /> training on the new accounting software December 8 and 9. The schedule for implementing the <br /> accounting software will be the 2nd or 3rd payroll in January. Ramacher reported that they had a <br /> busy weekend with 15 arrests and a fake$20 dollar bill was passed at Tom Thumb. Zikmund <br /> . reported fire operator Elroy Thorson will retire on November 30. Whiting stated that he talked <br /> to the mayor regarding the deer living on the golf course and he has requested a letter from the <br /> DNR. <br /> III. Unfinished Business -Personnel Policies: Whiting discussed with department heads the <br /> 4) current and proposed language in the break policy and the number of actual hours that are being <br /> worked by employees. <br /> IV. New Business -Truth in Taxation: meeting will be Wednesday, December 3 at 6:00 PM. <br /> Employee Performance Evaluations: Whiting said performance evaluations should be <br /> completed in December. Lynnette Morgan has the performance evaluation forms located in <br /> Lotus on the n-drive;please save on your computer before typing in the evaluation form. <br /> Basement Water Problems: Sanchez provided a letter from Brent Anderson and Associates <br /> giving specifications and cost proposal for the site inspection he conducted to examine the nature <br /> of the water leakage problems. It was determined that the exterior walls above grade and roof <br /> coping were contributory to the problem. The estimated projected repair cost was $29,900.00. <br /> Zikmund stated that the MultiTech building is not in compliance with the sprinkler system code. <br /> V.
