8. REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 94-1228WS STAFF REPORT Report Number: —'i0 AGENDA SESSION DATE July 5, 1994 Report Date: h -94 DISPOSITION Item Description: Discussion of Development Review Request of Wolf and Associates Administrator's Review/Recommendation: - No comments to supplement this report - Comments attached. Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) SUMMARY; John Purves, representing Wolf and Associates, has made application for a Development Review to allow the construction of a 9,566 square foot addition to their existing facility, at 4860 Mustang Circle. Staff has reviewed the request and found that, as proposed, the development meets all requirements of the Municipal Code as it relates to setbacks, parking, land use, etc. Provision for the handling of storm water runoff on the site was addressed in 1991 when a similar proposal was approved by both the Planning Commission and the City Council. In addition to the facility expansion, the applicant is also requesting that the easement for the former water tower site immediately adjacent to the subject property be vacated so that it can be utilized for storage area. Staff has had preliminary discussions with the Director of Public Works regarding possibly vacating the easement. I will forward his recommendation on Tuesday evening. The Mounds View Planning Commission has completed their preliminary review of this item and has directed Staff to prepare a resolution of favorable recommendation to be formally acted upon at their July 6, 1994 meeting. I have included all materials received as part of this submittal for your review.
